Horseback Riding Lessons

One of the many Groupons that Nana bought was for three riding lessons for three grandchildren.   And Devin, Hailey and Kayla were chosen for the lessons.  In the barn while waiting for their lesson to start, there were something like 18 kittens.
Please, Please, Please can we have a free Kitten???????
Even though Kayla is allergic to cats, she cannot keep her hands off of them...She already has them all named....
And Hailey has her favorites also.
They are suppose to be getting ready for the riding lesson.
Devin is a big help getting the saddles out and on.
I think this might be Star.

Oh dear, I'm going to ask what the horses names are....I've forgotten.
Keep your back straight, left hand on thigh.

They started out in the small ring, working on their posture and how to hold the reigns.

I believe the sun is in Kayla's eyes.

Once the teacher saw they were doing well, they moved to a larger pasture.
And here they are beginning to learn to trot.  Legs straight, leaning back slightly, right hand on saddle back.

The Horse and Kitten Barn.

I love those yellow flowers ... what are they .... buttercups?
Pops stayed home to grill hamburgers.  They were hungry when we got home.
These kids are having so much fun together!

After eating, they played in the yard for a while.

On the way home, we stopped at Braums for a cone.   One more lesson to go!
