MooMoo's Great Adventure by Ava Collier

Ava won a writing contest at the Dancing Bear Toy Store!  Here is her story:
Once upon a time Moomoo the plastic cow went on an adventure. She decided it was time to see the world, so she left the playroom and went outside. Moomoo found a wheelbarrow and some large rocks. She put the rocks inside the wheelbarrow and brought them into the barn. After looking at them, she thought they looked like giant red cherries.
She tried to eat them, but they were too hard to bite through! “Ouch!” Then she decided it might be fun to stack them like a snowman, but they wouldn’t stay balanced. They fell down and knocked her over! “Ouchie-woo-woo!” Moomoo got back up and decided the rocks would make great basketballs. But, when she tried to dribble one, it didn’t bounce.
Then Moomoo wondered what was inside the rocks. She took a hammer and hit one of the rocks as hard as she could! After the red dust settled, two pieces laid on the barn floor. The rock halves were hollow, so Moomoo poured her cereal in one and her orange juice in the other. Then she ate breakfast! After breakfast, Moomoo put the rest of the rocks back in the wheelbarrow. She had another wonderful idea. She took them to the lake and strapped them to her arms and legs. “I bet these rocks will make good floaties!” Moomoo jumped into the water, but went straight to the bottom! Moomoo called out, “Help! Help me!” The neighbor’s dog George, heard Moomoo and jumped into the lake. He swam to the bottom and bit through the ropes to set Moomoo free!
Moomoo decides at this point she should leave the rocks alone! George and Moomoo return the rest of the rocks to the field and went home to rest after such an exciting day.

Ava and Carson On Their Bikes

Ava and Carson  went to the Azalea Park. This is the second time they've both riden without training wheels.   They are beyond excited and proud of themselves. It was 95* outside today and their Mommie (Aunt Sommer) couldn't get them to stop riding in the hot sun.    Posted by Picasa

How Did Your Honor Your Father?

Are you saluting the American flag while you look at these pictures?  The joy of being a grandpa is that your kids give you very unique gifts for Father's Day.  Papa got a Super Dad shirt, a Lawn Patrol shirt, a swimming suit made of the American Flag and Rosie made a key chain for the lawnmower.  Hailey made a clay desk piece that said "All Things Are Possible."   How lucky is the Papa!

A Special Outing to Safari Sanctuary Part 1 or 3

The original time for this outing was early in the morning -- but it rained.  So Hailey came back to the house to play and after lunch the drive was made again for a wonderful outing to see rescued animals.  Rosemary and Hailey were invited to join Sydney and Blakely to the Sanctuary.   They were to have a special VIP tour with hands on experiences.

Safari Sanctuary, THE CATS - Part II

Joel and Jennifer treated four little girls to a trip to the Broken Arrow Safari.  This is a rescue site for exoctic animals.     They had such a wonderful time feeding the tigers chicken wings on a pole.  There was even a Liger weighingn over one thousand pounds because a Liger never stops growing.

They got to hear wonderful stories about the animals and how they came to be rescued by this family.

The Trip to the Safari Sanctuary in Broken Arrow - continued

A Baby Bear is dangerous but with the guide lady's help, Hailey, Sydney and Rosemary were able to pet the little Bear.     Uncle Joel was allowed to pick up the Baby Bear by holding on to the harness.  He had to be very carefull as a Baby Bear is very strong.
The VIP tour at the Safari Sanctuary was very special.  Everyone got to touch and do special things with the rescued animals.
There was a little Joey that had been injured.  The girls were allowed to hold it like a baby.
Blakely and Aunt Jennifer look at the bear in the cage.

Can you believe that Bears love to drink Coke!  Everyone got to feed a bear a coke.

A Favorite Pastime for Kayla

Kayla loves to climb trees. Too many times I have to call her down out of a tree. At our house she is looking for a tree but we don't have a 'great' one for tree climbing so she gave the riverbirch in the front yard a try. What a funny 12 year old monkey.
