A Spring Vacation Trip

Lily and Rosie and Elijah are coming on Wednesday
It was an exciting day when we headed in the car for Texas.  Sydney had been so excited we were coming.  We had a lot of fun even though she had been pretty sick.
Blakely was happy to see us.

Even though the pool was cold, we loved the water.

Nigel and Sophie loved having Lily there.

Rosie was very brave in the cold water.

Blakely jumped on the 'ping'

Elijah was such a big help with all of the crafts.    Sydney had Christmas gifts she had not yet put together.  Elijah had a ton of fun.

Blakely  has a Kevin Puzzle

Barbie and Ken have fun together.
And Kevin was part of the fun.
Sydney is having a blast.

What's in your mouth Papa?
Then we visited Lego land at Grapevine Mall.

There was an entire village built with Legos
It is the city of  Dallas.
We had lunch at the Mall.
Then we visited Sea Life.

Manta Ray Pools.

We also celebrated an early 14th birthday with Elijah.

We loved Sydney's little poem:  1-2, buckle my shooe, 3-4-shut the door, 5-6, pick up sticks, 7-8 lay them straight, 9-10, big gat hen!

Aunt Jennifer gave the girls haircuts.  This was Lily's first real, real haircut.

Papa got in on the fun with Lily's hair ends.

Rosie got a new hairdo also.  She loved her easy to brush new hair style.
On Friday evening we were invited to a friends Farm.

 Blakely loved the cows.
And we went on a hayride.  It was so much fun.  Later we had dinner.
For breakfast, Blakely shared her milk with Kevin.
On Saturday we drove h om.   Back to Oklahoma.

Thank you Blakely, Sydney, Uncle Joel and Aunt Jennifer for such a wonder Spring Break.  We had a wonderful  three days.

The Art Class

One of my new hobbies is finding things on Groupon that are half price.    Last December while in Asheville, I found this one and just tonight got to use it.  It was a $35 painting class for $17 -- times three. So Lily, Hailey and Rosie were the lucky ones to get to participate in the 3-hour  art class
First we met at the Senor Tequila Restaurant in Brookside and had dinner.  Lily and Hailey enjoyed chicken cheese quesadillas and Hailey choose the tamale.  Then at 6:00 pm the class began.
The project was a  Warhol Wall Flower and everyone had to do the same painting.
