Happy Halloween

Trick or Treat was up in our neighborhood this year.  Not sure why but reports are that they were out in larger numbers all over the place.   Even with that we probably did not have more than a dozen groups in the evening.  They were little and cute.... none of our own grandkids made it to our door but they were out celebrating for sure.

From Brownie, Syd's favorite puppy.

Trick or Treat
And in Tulsa at the Scrivner house.......
There was a friendly (not scary) pumpkin Cat
Enjoyed by Devin and Hailey
Not a grandkid but a trick or treater at our door.
More scary guests knocked at our door.
And a thousand miles away was a Trunk n Treat at the C3 church.
The biggest celebration would take place this night on Kenilworth but no pictures have come yet.
The pictures did arrive from the Colliers!

The report is they ran out  of 1,000 treats by 7:45 pm
Came up with more and finally had to post a note on the door that they had run out.

A Quickie Visit

Each year, the teenagers from Covenant Church in Dallas come to Tulsa to visit the GUTS Nightmare -- a Christian Haunted House.  That is when we get to have a short visit with Sydney and Blakely.   So while their mommie and daddy were with the teenagers, we dressed up as Miss Lioness the Roarer and little Miss Lady Bug.

Nana's Costumes have stayed small while the grandkids have grown up but I found these two which would fit into a six year old and an 18 month old.
We had some major roaring and growling going on for a few minutes.
On Sunday morning, the girls went over to play with their cousins.  They were to meet their parents after church at the Mall to return home so we decided that Rosie and Lily could go along to return their cousins.
We arrive at the Woodland Hills Mall before the teenagers so we got to stroll around a bit.
Lily's favorite for the day was the Justice Store.  They all immediately started looking for their favorite Webkinz.
Parents still had not arrived so we played on the baby playground a little bit.
Here they are displaying their Webkinz of choice.
Then there was a lunch break -- still waiting for Uncle Joel and Aunt Jen to arrive.
Blakely loved the cheese pizza and ziti just as much as the bigger girls.

What Kind of Gifts Do Grandchildren Make for Nana and Pops

Well, I would really have to do some digging to go back and photograph all the gifts grandchildren have given to us over the years.  Earrings from Ava. Bracelets from Lily. Pictures from Devin.  Painted Rocks of all shapes and kinds.  Key chains, flower pots, clocks, holders and the list could go on and on and on.  And every gift a special gift to cherish. Every card a masterpiece.  Here are a few of the most recent:
Decoupage from Lily
Soap from Rosie
Clay from Hailey
Clock from Elijah
A jar of Spiced Tea from Carson
A lizard from Rosemary

"F" Day and Females

Carson is learning to read and Thursday was "F" day. It was also his turn to bring a snack to school. So "F" is for frog and these are his cupcakes to share with his class mates.
Interesting, the following day he was to take an "F" show and tell, he took a "female" a barbie doll. How many little 5-yearolds would think of the word female?
