Ava the Publisher and Editor

Ava typed out her own story on the computer.  Would you like to read the story?  If the words are too small, you may click on the picture to get a better view.
Nana and  Pops are having so much fun in Asheville, NC.  It is fall and there are tons of leaves all over the ground.  The city trucks come to sweep up the leaves if you rake them to the curb.

Carson Drew Me A Picture

This is a Rainbow.
Ava is under the rainbow.  See her hair sticking straight up.
Ava is eating turkey.  Can you see the turkey?  The turkey is red.

In Memory of O'Neal

Some of you may barely remember O'Neal.  She went to heaven seven years ago on November 19.  Here she is at her last Christmas.   O'Neal fought hard.  You must live your lives letting Jesus be Lord of your lives so that you can see her in Heaven some day.

Hey, you can click on the photo and see that Papa had hair back then.  Ha-ha

Who had not yet been born in this picture?

Lily's Women

Who do you think these women are?
Papa and I are going to be on a road trip for the next couple of weeks so I don't know if I will be blogging -- maybe yes, maybe no. Remember our next outing is in Branson, Mo. We will be going on December 11 and spend two nights at the Savannah house and come home on Sunday. Saturday we will spend as long as you want at Silver Dollar City. It opens at noon but we will want to stay long enough to see the shows, ride the rides that are open in the winter time and then see how beautiful it is at night with millions of lights and great Christmas music. This outing is Papa and Nana's Christmas gift to you.

Also, it is close to Kayla's birthday, so maybe we can find her a birthday present in Branson -- think they have bats there? SDC does have a cave, I wonder if there are tours in December?

OKLAHOMA

Lily made a picture about Oklahoma. Would someone else like to make one about the state they live in?

Guess Whose Feet These Belong To

Here is another guessing game. Guess whose feet these are and number them 1 - 5. Deadline is Friday Nov 13.

Lily with the Babe while the others bask in the sunshine

We had a little get together before Pops and Nans leave town for a couple weeks.  We had some projects to get ready for Christmas. Lily played with Babe while the others were out on the deck waiting for Kayla to arrive.  When she arrived, she had her turn with the baby.  Babe loves the children.

Happy Papa

Papa was so lonely when Duke died.  And a new friend found him.  It is a little girl.  Born August 16, she is 11 weeks old and weighs two pounds and does not have a name yet.  What do you think Papa will name his new friend?

PS:  As of Saturday, Papa is calling her Babe.   But all of you sent such wonderful suggestions.  Papa is so very happy with his new puppy.

Halloween in North Carolina is a Very Big Deal

Aunt Jennifer just sent me pictures from her cell phone of their Halloween in North Carolina.  Sydney and Blakely spent Halloween with Ava and Carson.  But no photo of  Carson yet.   Can you guess what they are dressed up as?  Ava and Carson live in a neighborhood that does Halloween like you have never seen before.  Aunt Sommer usually prepares for 2,000 trick or treaters and they have a big party and invite their church friends over.  Looks like they were having fun.  Do you know anything about the Cheshire Cat and the Mad Hatter:
Carson was suppose to be a wolverine.  Please send photo.    This year I got no photos of the Oklahoma kids.  Do any of you have any photos to share?
