Daddy Daughter Dance

Uncle Joel posted the photo below on Facebook.  It is at Sydneys first Daddy-Daughter Dance. He said she is a wild and crazy dancer just like her Mommie. The picture was really dark and fuzzy but I tried to make it a little better. More photos from Sydney????   And yes, Aunt Jennifer sent a better photo.   Thanks.

Sydney's Daddy in Arizona

I just found these pictures on Facebook.  Sydney's Daddy, Uncle Joel is in Lake Havasu, Arizona preaching.   The place where he is staying, the lady has a pet Boa.   Which Uncle Joel is hugging.    Also, he said he ran for 6 miles in the desert.
Papa and I were in Lake Havasu on a vacation several years ago,    While there, we stayed in the London Bridge Resort.  The Hotel was right by the real London Bridge.   Remember that little song, London Bridges Falling Down.    Well, years ago, an American Man bought the bridge and took it apart and brought it back to Arizona and put it back up over this lake.       We had such a good time on that trip even though that town is one of the hottest places ever.    While we were there, we rented bicycles and rode them only early in the morning.  In the afternoon it was too hot to go outside so we did indoor activities..

Papa's Got Some New Kids

Papa adopted some new kids ..... well maybe I am using the wrong word, not adopted but sponsored.
This is little 8 year old Geralda Alcindor.   She goes to Bethel School in Haiti.

Papa sends money to sponsor Geralda through Love A Child.  The money along with others gifts help to provide a Christian education for these children.  It also helps with medical care.  It helps with school uniforms
Geralda has 3 brothers and 2 sisters and is in first grade.  Isn't she cute.   She says when she grows up she wants to be a seamstress.

And here is little Alex Dor who is 13 years old.  Alex is in 3rd grade at the Fond Parisien school.   He has three sisters.      These children lived through the terrible earthquakes in Haiti.

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and is always in trouble because there are not enough jobs and not enough food.  Many Hatian children have no parents and live in a hungry world.   Half of all children born in Haiti do not live past the age of five years old.

With Papa's help and our prayer, Geralda and Alex will have a better life.....food for their tummies and a good education.
