We Have A Winner for the Panda Riddle/Story

Out of 9 of you, we had 4 entries in our Game/Riddle Story. Papa and I both loved your stories. They are all great. All of you got the picture right, it is a Panda hanging from a branch. I wondered if you would know Panda's are mostly from China. Elijah knew that their main food is bamboo. Did you know that they also eat meat but are too lazy to hunt for their prey. Maybe that is why there are only 1600 left in the entire world. It was funny that MO also eats vines and pansies.
Lily and Rosie had their Panda Pete and Panda Padame in the zoo because that is the only place we would ever see them here in the USA. I wonder how Rosie found her Padame in Iowa.
I loved Lily's rescue plan for Pete ... I bet Pete did not want to go back to the zoo.
How funny that Elijah's Pete Panda needed 5 monkey fire fighters to get him down and it took 8 hours. WOW!
Although she is the youngest entry, Sydney used her vivid imigination to write an interesting story that took little MO the Panda from that tree top, to North Carolina, and then all the way to Hawaii.
All of your stories were wonderful and well written.
Our anonymous judge says 1st place will go to Sydney while the other three run a close 2nd. All four of you will receive a reward for your job well done! Keep your imaginations working. There will be more riddles to come and hopefully all nine of your will participate in the future.

Sydney's Story for the Riddle Game

Panda MO jumped up there because he wanted to climb to his mommy in the jungle. There were lots of vines and food. There were pansies there too, pandas like to chew on them. He saw his daddy there. His papa was in North Carolina and grandma too. He had is own bed there, so he swung over to it in the middle of the night. His mommy and daddy could not find him in the morning, so they ate blueberries and then flew to North Carolina. And they saw baby panda walking with grandma and grandpa with blueberries in his hand and he saved two for his mommy and daddy. Then they all went to Hawaii. THE END.

Thank you for taking us to the Cheesecake Factory

......:we had a lot of fun. You are the best Nana and Papa in the world. We love you very, very, very much, From Elijah.
Elijah often does his art in 3-dimension made with many different objects. Here is a couple samples of Elijah's paper quillin. The card was a thank you note and the flower was a hanging ornament at Christmas time. 2008 when Elijah was 10 years ole.

Thank you for the Dinner ..... from Rosemary

I probably have received the most art from the Scharpf children .... but much of it was larger or in 3-D so it is not scanned for this site. But here is Rosie's art and thank you note from October, 2008 when she was six. Isn't it beautiful!

Dear Nana & Pops .... I like your Hot Tub

Here are some sample collections of Ava's art when she was age four and perhaps five. Ava was 'almost' born with pencil and colors and paper in her hand. You can click on to make larger to read her self expressed letter to us when she was four.
So now we need more art from other Grandchildren. Come help me out.
