Happy Easter Day

A message from Kevin: We, too, had a busy Easter. Bonita had been collecting Easter stuff for several weeks. Friday she and Hailey helped get ready for Saturday's Eggstravaganza while Devin and I worked on Royal Ranger pinewood derby cars. Saturday we spent most of the afternoon at the egg activity, then Bonita stayed up late fixing our tradition: hot cross buns. Sunday we went to two consecutive services with breakfast between. I was pooped, but Devin and Hailey went to a neighbor boy's house to dye eggs. We'd grilled a roast Thursday, so Bonita served it with mashed cheese potatoes and other veggies. We'd gotten movies to watch with church friends Friday (since Bonita canceled school) but then the friends couldn't make it.
So the kids wound up getting candy and real eggs, we worshiped, we read the Easter story in Luke as part of our Bible lessons, had hot cross buns for desert, and on Sunday afternoon I finally got some rest.
