Duke, Papa's little friend went to doggie heaven last Saturday 10th. He had been feeling sickly but we thought he was better. And while we were in Dallas and April and Elijah were baby sitting him, he went to by-by land. We all will miss you Duke, Rest In Peace.RIP

We're so sorry. The other day when we visited Dad, he seemed to take an "oh well, that's life" attitude. But we know he really loved Duke and will miss him terribly. Duke kept Dad from being lonely while you are working and he's alone at home working on his interminable projects. I know Duke was "just" a dog. But in our family, Boop, Judah and Lucy are almost like additional children. We'd be grieved if something happened to one of them. Please let Dad know that we love him and grieve with him.
