Blakely at Seven Months
Uncle Joel sent me a new photo of Blakely at 7 months old. Look, Aunt Jen has put up their Christmas tree. The elves still have not arrived to put mine up. I was hoping they would do it while I was out of town.

I was sick with a bad sinus infection, but Bonita and the kids put up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. So far, we've managed to have Judah not climb it and the dogs not eat the ornaments.
(Speaking of Thanksgiving, we fixed turkey-carcass chili today.)
According to Scandinavian tradition, the Christ Child Himself is supposed to show up at your house Christmas Eve to set up the tree for you, complete with presents, filled stockings, etc. Of course, the oldest daughter is also supposed to come downstairs early Christmas morning with a wreath of candles in her hair and fix breakfast for everybody. So April should be knocking at your door about 3-4 a.m., right April? :)
