Safari Sanctuary, THE CATS - Part II

Joel and Jennifer treated four little girls to a trip to the Broken Arrow Safari.  This is a rescue site for exoctic animals.     They had such a wonderful time feeding the tigers chicken wings on a pole.  There was even a Liger weighingn over one thousand pounds because a Liger never stops growing.

They got to hear wonderful stories about the animals and how they came to be rescued by this family.

The Trip to the Safari Sanctuary in Broken Arrow - continued

A Baby Bear is dangerous but with the guide lady's help, Hailey, Sydney and Rosemary were able to pet the little Bear.     Uncle Joel was allowed to pick up the Baby Bear by holding on to the harness.  He had to be very carefull as a Baby Bear is very strong.
The VIP tour at the Safari Sanctuary was very special.  Everyone got to touch and do special things with the rescued animals.
There was a little Joey that had been injured.  The girls were allowed to hold it like a baby.
Blakely and Aunt Jennifer look at the bear in the cage.

Can you believe that Bears love to drink Coke!  Everyone got to feed a bear a coke.

A Favorite Pastime for Kayla

Kayla loves to climb trees. Too many times I have to call her down out of a tree. At our house she is looking for a tree but we don't have a 'great' one for tree climbing so she gave the riverbirch in the front yard a try. What a funny 12 year old monkey.

The Last Grandbaby

I am told by all my children that they are done having babies. That Means that Blakely is the last grandbaby ..... And at 13 1/2 months, she is a beauty!

Helping Papa Do Yard Work

Papa had not been feeling very well, so Elijah, Lily and Rose with their Mama, came over to help with the yard work today.  They pulled weeds, raked and fed the flowers some plant food.   Elijah tried his hand with the ride-a-mower.  April trimmed the hedges for the Pops.  Actually in these photos, they were taking a lunch break.    Thank you guys, you were a big help to both Pops and Me.

Haily Grace in the Easter Program

If one looks enough, you can find treasurers in Facebook. I found Hailey in the Easter Program at Eastland Assembly of God Church.

Carson on an End-Of-School Outing

Aunt Sommer sent this to me through her cell phone. I do not believe that is Ava in the backgroud. Wonder if Carson could tell us where he went and what he saw.

Easter Six Years Ago

My, my, my, how everyone has changed. This is before Carson and Blakely were born and Sydney is not here in the picture -- but I think she was a tiny baby at the time.  You can click on the picture to see yourself better.

Easter Bunnies in Asheville

Across the street from the Collier Home is a Presbyterian Church which has neighborhood activities.  One of those is the neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt and all pets are invited.  Yesterday, Ava, Carson and Kona crossed the street for the hunt.  They served snacks which consisted of plain white bread with american cheese.  Ava and Carson thought that this new delicacy was wonderful and asked their mother what this wonderful food was.    White bread and American cheese.   Who would know!

There were Easter baskets in the morning.  Ava asked Mom if the Easter Bunny was real or if the baskets were from Mommie and Daddy.   Sommer asked, what do you think.   Ava responded, I think they are from the Easter Bunny because you would never let us have all this candy.    Hummmmm.   What do YOU think.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Uncle Joel posted the photo below on Facebook.  It is at Sydneys first Daddy-Daughter Dance. He said she is a wild and crazy dancer just like her Mommie. The picture was really dark and fuzzy but I tried to make it a little better. More photos from Sydney????   And yes, Aunt Jennifer sent a better photo.   Thanks.
