Sydney's Daddy in Arizona

I just found these pictures on Facebook.  Sydney's Daddy, Uncle Joel is in Lake Havasu, Arizona preaching.   The place where he is staying, the lady has a pet Boa.   Which Uncle Joel is hugging.    Also, he said he ran for 6 miles in the desert.
Papa and I were in Lake Havasu on a vacation several years ago,    While there, we stayed in the London Bridge Resort.  The Hotel was right by the real London Bridge.   Remember that little song, London Bridges Falling Down.    Well, years ago, an American Man bought the bridge and took it apart and brought it back to Arizona and put it back up over this lake.       We had such a good time on that trip even though that town is one of the hottest places ever.    While we were there, we rented bicycles and rode them only early in the morning.  In the afternoon it was too hot to go outside so we did indoor activities..

Papa's Got Some New Kids

Papa adopted some new kids ..... well maybe I am using the wrong word, not adopted but sponsored.
This is little 8 year old Geralda Alcindor.   She goes to Bethel School in Haiti.

Papa sends money to sponsor Geralda through Love A Child.  The money along with others gifts help to provide a Christian education for these children.  It also helps with medical care.  It helps with school uniforms
Geralda has 3 brothers and 2 sisters and is in first grade.  Isn't she cute.   She says when she grows up she wants to be a seamstress.

And here is little Alex Dor who is 13 years old.  Alex is in 3rd grade at the Fond Parisien school.   He has three sisters.      These children lived through the terrible earthquakes in Haiti.

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and is always in trouble because there are not enough jobs and not enough food.  Many Hatian children have no parents and live in a hungry world.   Half of all children born in Haiti do not live past the age of five years old.

With Papa's help and our prayer, Geralda and Alex will have a better life.....food for their tummies and a good education.

The Traits we get from our Parents

Each one of you is very special. We get our traits from our Mommie and Daddy. There are traits such as the color of your eyes:  blue, brown, green.
Another interesting trait is the bent little pinkie finger. Look and see if your pinkie finger bends toward your ring finger.

Here is a trait on Papa and Blakely. Can you see it? It is the Ear lobe: is it attached or detached? Papa's ear lobe is detached and hangs down and Blakely's is attached. See the difference?

Another interesting trait is the tongue. Some can roll or curl your tongue and some of you can not -- no matter how hard you try. Sydney can curl her tongue into a tube shape. But Blakely can not, Blakely is a tongue twister -- she can twist her tongue but not roll it. Check your's out and see if you are a tongue roller or a tongue twister.

Haily Turns Ten Years Old

Hailey will be Ten years old on Monday, February 8, 2010.  But she was at our house so Bonita (her mom) could watch the Super Bowl Game.  So we had an early cake with 10 candles.
Babe liked helping her celebrate her early birthday.

Hailey did not watch the game but did watch TV in the other room.

Babe's New Face Trim

Babe actually has eyes. We only found them after getting her face trimmed yesterday.   She now weighs in at 2 1/2 pounds and is 5 months old.     Papa said that after trimming the hair around her eye so that she could see, she looked up at him very strange as if to say, I did not realize that you were that ugly.  Poor Papa, he is not really that ugly.

Happy Birthday Sydney

Sydney turned six years old last Saturday.  I did not get to go to her party.  But her daddy tells me that is was at her other PawPaw's Country Club and they had a magic show and a clown.   Sounds like a very special Birthday Party for Sydney.  Happy Birthday big six year old!
Somebody please send photos of your party.

Being Together for New Years

Here is Blakely learning to play the piano.

And here is Sophia borrowing Babe's bed.  I think Babe must have been very jealous because she yapped a lot while Sophia was visiting.   Shame on her, she has to learn to share just like all other babies do.

And here is Sydney playing the part of a Matador.  I told her I would be the bull and charge her blankie.

And then here is Hailey enjoying the new Chinese Pug, Sophia.  All the cousins loved her a lot.

Everyone In This World Is NOT Nice

I have a story for you:
Now these people are very nice.   This is little Sydney, Clay and Chase.   They live in El Paso Texas were it almost never snows.   So the other day they got two inches of snow and their Mommie and Daddy took them to build a snow man family.

They worked and worked and worked to make their family just like their own family.  Sydney, Clay and Chase's, Daddy is in the military and he is home for Christmas this year which is very special.  Their Mommie is very special too.  She was Ava and Carson's Mommie's very best friend from the time they were about four years old.

So back to my story:   They built their snowman family and were so proud of their work and took a picture of their family.

After they were finished playing and went to get in the car to go home and warm up, another family came along walking through the park.   The father of the bad family was the first one to start knocking the snowman family down.  Then he had the other family members and children help knock down and destroy the snowman family.

Clay, Chase and Sydney were horrified so their  good Daddy went over to talk to them about what they did was not right and was not funny.    The mean daddy was very rude and acted very stupid.   The grown ups were not nice people.   So The good Daddy of Chase, Clay and Sydney told the children that building something  is to enjoy not to destroy.    The good Daddy acted the right way.

I am so glad that my grandchildren have good Daddys who know how to train you to be good American Citizens and do what is right -- simply because IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.  Here is a high five for good Mommies and Daddys.  Now go give them a hug and tell them thank you.
