Ava and Carson Start Back ToSchool

Ava and Carson started back to Asheville Christian Academy on Tuesday, August16th.  Their Mommie made Brownies for their new 3rd and 1st grade teachers.  I bet those teachers love those kids.

Hailey is Crowned Honor Star Missionette in Oklahoma City

Yesterday, Hailey's Mom took her to Oklahoma City for her coronation.  After a fun time in the Hotel, they  had the big ceremony.  Hailey had to pass a lot of test to be an Honor Star.

There were lots of girls in white dresses -- but only two from her church, Eastland Assembly of God.
Momma was very proud of her girl!

When Hailey's name was called, she walks forward in her white gown to be crowned.

After ariving home, Momma takes a Daddy photo.

Devin and Hailey in Galveston Texas

Every year Hailey has to travel with her Mom to Galveston Texas to the Shriner Burn Hospital to have her feet checked.   At some point Hailey will need more surgery.  But not this summer!  So after the doctor appointment, Devin and Hailey had a visit to the Gulf Ocean before returning to Tulsa.

In Sedona, We Had A Drawing Contest

Sydney declared herself the winner.
Next we went to "Out of Africa" and saw a Tiger Splash show where a white tiger played and jumped for the blow up toys in the water.  So next we had a tiger art contest.  But Papa made his stripes the wrong direction.
And Nana made her Tiger much too fat.
And Blakely's tiger seems to be lost.
And Sydney made three tigers.  Is it possible that Sydney won the contest again?

Out of Africa in Camp Verde, Arizona

One Very Hot Afternoon, we visited Out of Africa Wild Life Park at Camp Verde Arizona. We had lunch there.

Sydney got to pet a giant Boa Constrictor
He is so big, it took about 10 or 12 people to hold him and put him on the ground.

Saw zebras
Fed carrots to the giraffe

The animal lady threw 'cookies' to the zebras, because they have big teeth.

And we went to a Tiger Splash Show

at the Tiger Splash show, the Bengal / Siberian tigers played with dozens of blow up toys.

Then on the Safari Bus we could kiss the camel.
Sydney fed the camel a cookie from her mouth.
The ostrich would snatch camera or shinny things so we did not get too close.

It was a fun time in spite of the heat.
P.S.:  There is more blogging about this trip with Sydney and Blakely on my travel blog.  http://www.scrivtravels.blogspot.com/     under the Westward Bound Category.

Water Fun

On Friday, we met Blakely and Sydney's Mom and Dad at Slide Rock.  The water was very cold but very fun.   The mountain streams flowed over smooth rocks.
And there were places to jump in.
Sydney met a new friend, Natilie.
Blakely thought the water too cold but loved seeing Mommie and Daddy.
Sydney slid down some rock slides and Daddy had to help her out of the slippery rocks.
Then Mommie did the slide with Sydney.
But Mommie got stuck and Daddy had to go pull her out.
When it was time to leave, Daddy climbed the apple trees and found apples for the girls.  Blakely ate two apples.
Sydney ate one apple.
All the other days, we played in the pools at Sedona Summet.  There were several pools and splash pads.
Blakely like the splash pad.

And sometimes, we took water wings and rings to the pool with us.
Sydney thought the ring was a hat.
The pools at Sedona Summit were a lot of fun.  We swam everyday.
